I was going to wait until the chess tournament was over to start my next board game competition, but it's not like the other one is taking up much of my time.

We'll be playing Carcassonne this time around. It's also known as Toulouse.

Go into #sydlexia (link is in my signature) and people will help you access the game.

If you're familiar with the game, you should sign up. We have several active IRCers who play, so it will be easy to get your games in. The competition will be similar to how I ran chess, but there will not be any divisions because I'm only expecting like 10-12 sign-ups. The matches will be 1 vs 1, and we'll do a Round Robin schedule. Everyone will play everyone else twice, alternating who starts first each game. Report the results in this thread; although ties are rare, they are possible so they will be counted. IMPORTANT: INCLUDE FINAL SCORES OF ALL GAMES WHEN YOU REPORT THEM. They may be necessary to break any ties in final standings. I will update standings frequently in this post as the competition continues on.

No matter how many people officially sign up for this competition, at least two people will be eliminated after Round Robin play, and therefore not make the tournament. If we stay at 10 or make it to 11, top 8 will go to the tournament. If we make it to 12, top 10 will go.

There will not be a set schedule for games, but I do ask that if you sign up to please do your best to get all your matches in as soon as you can. This should be easier to do than chess because not only are games usually only about 20 minutes, but all the people who I know that are interested are active IRCers so it will be easy to find them.

If you join, I would expect you to make an effort to finish all of your games. Even if you start poorly, quitting in the middle of it will cause problems with the scheduling so please don't join unless you will play all of your games. I appreciate it.
