i have a palm pre (i know, i know, its a total chick phone... but it was free) and it only plays MP4's.
im sure there is software out there that would convert WMV's & what not to MP4's, but are there any in particular that anyone would recommend?
any free ones?

Even though it is a shit media player i am pretty sure itunes allows you to convert.

thanks sekh. ill give that a shot later when im back home
alowishus, i know itunes can convert WMA's to M4U's (or whatever itunes uses as its format) and MP3's, but im not entirely sure about video files.

itunes uses mp3's for music files instead of WMA. m4u is the ringtone file for an iphone. itunes /might/ convert movie files to mp4 since that is the video file type the iphone and ipod touch uses. i dont really keep any videos on my phone so i never use the converter if it has one. i can play around with it if you want and see what i can come up with.

For real though, dbPowerAmp is the best, and I support the advice I gave nine years ago.
Unfortunately, it's now paid software and no longer free, but it's worth it.
