This brought me to an interesting question:
A. Is the baby smarter at its age than most and therefore can use an iPad?
Or
B. Is the iPad technology responsible for the baby's increased knowledge?
No doubt if the child is smart, they would able to leverage the iPad to become more knowledgeable. If that is what you think then be sure to pick A.

I don't think the kid is smart just because he can use technology he's been around since being born. He may grow up to be stupid and lazy because he'll rely on computers to do thinking for him. My niece can operate the DVD player and remote and she's not even two, she just knows what buttons to push because she's been around it.
However, I do know that his parents are fucking stupid for naming the kid Bridger.

Pushing touchscreen icons is not that different from those Fischer Price toys with the large colorful buttons that teach colors and numbers.
This child is good at navigating the menus so it clearly shows that he has great memory and rationalization skills, and may be ahead of the curve for his age.
I know Raistlin was using the PC and playing easier games like Peggle and such at that age. So he enough hand-eye coordination to navigate and use a mouse effectively.

errm, this baby isn't smart at all. Everyone can use an ipad if he takes just enough time to learn it.
For any reason ( a reasone we'll probably never know) this baby is interested in the ipad so it learns how to use it. just like anybody else who would be interested in it. As mentioned before it is really simple to use.

Yeah, this isn't that impressive to people who have kids and seen similar feats. My son was fully capable of using the mouse to play simple PC games at 2 like Knyte said and he has also able to play the Lego games on Wii by himself for almost as long as he's existed. Hell, at 4 years old, he could even swap out the RCA cables to the TV when he wanted to fire up the Gamecube instead of the Wii.

Children adapt and learn that is their basic function. The ability to learn at a young age is usually astonishing. It's like a clean sheet you can write something on it and see it right away. Where as an adult has millions of shit to think about. So when learning something new it takes time.
Children are like sponges they can only learn what is taught to them, or what they choice to teach themselves. They can almost absorb knowledge like nothing.
I used my time as a child to learn how to play NES. It is ashame I haven't found a practical use for that knowledge.

When that baby is one that is going to college, of course.
I am sometimes amazed that my 2 year old son is able to swipe and use his fire tablet at such a high level.
I just feel like I would at least been 4 before I even understood the concept of how a tablet works and how to operate it.
Maybe being around tech since day one is the difference maker. I didnt even have an NES until I was 5.....
