(Note: Posted this in the wrong section. My bad!)

This one's just in case anyone's interested and a good interactive fiction writer. My wife and I actually run a couple of play by post style superhero games online, and I figured I'd pop some links up for people who, like me, have a lot of time on their hands and don't know what to do with it. They're not as cool as SydLexia.com, either, just in case people were getting worried.

This one's a teenage superheroes type game, and our longest running one.

and this one's more vigilante style action. They both take place in the same metropolitan setting, but in different locations/alternate dimensions.

And... yeah. That's about my contribution to society. It's not much, but I can think of worse things to do with my time.

Actually, yeah I do. Our roommate is working on a game that's D&D 3.5 and involves an elite military unit that handles the worst things that the kingdom needs doing. They're semi-autonomous, and if caught, naturally, the kingdom will disavow any knowledge of them or their activities. The characters are actually each based off of one of the seven deadly sins. So far we have Wrath, Lust, Gluttony, Sloth, and Pride, and we're looking for a good Greed and Envy yet. We've so far got a melee expert type, a social expert/bardy-kinda type, a roguey-survivalist type, a healer-cleric and a blaster-type arcane caster. If she wants more info, she can check out

Knyte's looks more like the style she prefers, I'll see if she wants to check it out (I might too if I get any ideas)

Cool deal. Myself, I can't stand freeform, but that's because you get the whole cowboys/Indians thing with some people and it's just a pain in the ass. Good luck with it.

Just to note, my buddy's D&D pbem filled kind of fast, but we're still looking for a good Greed character, just in case anyone's interested.

Just to append this incredibly old topic, Freedom After Dark is currently on hiatus. Claremont Academy is going strong, and the Tankards and Tales game bombed (I'm not surprised; my roomie has no sticktoitiveness)

The wife and I are currently playing on her sister and her sister's SO's site. It's an X-Men game, but statted with Mutants and Masterminds second edition

and I'm running a 3.5 Eberron exalted type game at
http://s7.invisionfree.com/Lights_of_Eberron

This, of course, is between playing Heroclix, working on an Orkz Warhammer 40K army and playing L4D2 nightly with the wife. Life is pretty okay.

Another addendum, the wife did a great job updating the Claremont site and worked on the X-Men site for her sister. Good thing I'm paying all that money to have her go to college so she can do it even better, right?

Green Ronin, the guys who publish Mutants and Masterminds, just picked up the DC comics license. Expect relevant product to hit shelves starting in August.

That's pretty freakin' sweet! It's a shame the wife seriously dislikes DC (a cause for contention, as Green Lantern is my favorite hero), but I'll probably still download the pd... buy the book. Yes. Just picked up Silver Age.

A quick addendum about the DC license; it will also be a kick start to the new 3rd edition rules of the game.

As an update to this thread, we've since stopped the X-Men game due to a group of disruptive players, but we're currently working on a space-opera type game (think Firefly with races other than humans and much better tech) set in Rifts, specifically the Three Galaxies. Site is at http://s15.invisionfree.com/RIFTs_Swan_Song
