Wow, I wasn't expecting one of these after the lack of a Rise set review. Also interesting to me that you've gone with a Magic blog site, rather than using your own blog...

I'm not a huge fan of having an editor ro tone down my profanity (At least leave it in as asterisks!), but it's a dedicated Magic site that gets much more Magic traffic than here does.

well keep it up with the reviews and stuff. i dont ever really run tech decks or anything but its nice to know whats coming and a lot of other people run off a lot more at the mouth about card combos and blah blah. I probably wont go over there unless you do more stuff to be honest. still finessing my black/white kor/vampire deck and trying to finish adding in the splashes of green. thinking of changing it up to all ally creatures

I don't know if that's true. I can tell you that it certainly doesn't do anywhere close to the overall traffic that this site does.
MTGMetaGame has:
2.016% of the traffic ranking that SydLexia.com has
15.625% of the viewerbase (unique viewers) that SydLexia.com has
66.7% of visits to that site consist of a single pageview versus 20.8% on SydLexia.com.
What this means: The site might as well be a Tripod page.
As for the set review itself, it's fantastic. Disagree about Mystifying Maze as a great overall card. Will it see constructed play in Standard? Absolutely. Will it see casual/EDH play? No. There are better answers, including Maze of Ith. Is it worth it to throw a second, half-assed Ith in your EDH deck? Unless you're playing mono-green, no. There are far better answers.

Geocities passed away last year, having previously stopped taking new registrations years before.
To be fair though, SydLexia.com might as well have been a Tripod page at one point.

*sprinkles dust*Grow my precious GROW!!!!!!
To be honest I didn't realize how good baneslayer angel was when i read the card. I totally missed the boat on that one. I think it's the flying. Not many powerful flyers like that, that i know of. I'm really excited though to play magic with some of the forum goers, I'd be especially interested to see if you cry when you lose, or just make excuses . Syd I think cries. Me you ask? Well I don't lose, at least not best of 3, so i've never had that problem.

Its also the fact that it's a 5/5 flying, first strike, lifelink for 3WW, to say nothing of the 2 protections. There's plenty of big fliers out there, but none give you that kind of bang for your buck that the Baneslayer gives you.

Yeah, I know this site is more popular. And yes, mtgmetagame only has 15% of the unique viewerbase that sydlexia does, but 100% of them are interested in magic. I highly doubt anywhere near 15% of of your viewerbase gives a flying fuck about M11 or Magic in general.

I've basically been out of Magic for years... mostly because of the cost. But reading all the Magic talk on the forums gave me an itch to play so I entered a sealed tournament tonight.
I kicked some ass and finished 3rd... largely thanks to this review and the various MTG threads.
So thanks Jeebus, Syd and all the people talking Magic strategy lately.

Good shit. I'm probably having a booster draft in a couple weeks, so I'll definitely try out some of these strategies. Usually I just pull the rares so I can make my money back, but I'd actually like to win an event for once, and no one else will be doing any pre-planning with such informative articles. Bwahaha.
