I Wanna Be The Guy falls into the same category Dragon's Lair in the aspect, once you get past say the door, then you know how the door will work from then on. Much like halo and CoD....

Wow this is brilliant, more in its creativity than its playability. I adore the way they've incorporated all the characters and their different powers. The use of music is hilarious too. (What I don't get is...why did they use the Palace music from Zelda II for Link's underground segments? Why not use the dungeon music from Zelda I?)

Because that'd be less awesome than original Link.
I wondered why the Mega Man III title screen music was used for his above ground levels, with so many stages to choose from. Not complaining, mind you, it's still good music.

I read an interview with the creator, he said the Zelda 2 Link was his original "firepower" form, but it was actually more irritating to play as then the smaller link since he had to duck to hit enemies.

Was anyone else besides me annoyed that it takes multiple shots/attacks from any other character to kill the enemies?
I mean for Koopas, Lakitus, Buzzy Beetles and Hammer bros. multiple hits is fine, but goombas should be one hit kills! Otherwise what the hell is the point in even playing other characters when you are just gonna jump on enemies to kill them? You might as well just play as mario renedering the whole thing pointless!
Regardless, it is rather masterfully constructed.

Yeah, that annoyed me too. Goombas should definitely die in one hit. Arguably, Spinies should too.

I was ticked off at the fact that as bill or mega man, when you go for the one up by throwing the koopa shell at the goomba's you can't keep up so you ultimately fail at the extra life.

the mechanics with the different characters are interesting, but i think they should have changed the game a bit to accomodate the fact that these guys have godly abilities.

I never try to jump on enemies except as Mario. I was surprised to learn that you can.
I still think that this game should be redone in SMB2j.
