Last week I saw Batman Returns, which I haven't seen since I was like 5 or so. It still kicks ass, and I prefer it to the new Batman movies.

super bump.... because, well, i why start a new thread!?

at any rate, i just recently saw Annie Hall (wiki article & imdb page) and i liked it. you may not like woody allen but its a good movie. i dont believe it should have beaten star wars for best movie oscar, but its still a very good movie. anyone else catch it? or care for it? or hate it?

i also saw Renaissance recently (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renaissance_(film) & http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0386741/) and i enjoyed that one as well. its a 2006 animated movie. its computer animated but its all in black & white (except for a few moments near the end w/color, but that was done for effect.) so, the b&w color scheme can be disorienting at first, but you get used to it. its a typical missing person, hard ass cop movie. the story is cliche, but the animation stands out on its own. if you havent seen it, i would recommend it

I think Die Hard is one of the best action films ever made, it's certainly my favorite movie to watch at Christmas. If anyone has anything negative to say about Die Hard, i suggest you get bent!!!

so, i saw Bananas the other day and i enjoyed it. it was funny and very silly. felt like a cartoon at times. thumbs up, but i prefer Annie Hall

i also saw Wristcutters: A Love Story.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0477139/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wristcutters

that was an interesting movie. nothing spectacular, but i didnt regret the 90 minutes it took from me.

If you want to talk decades late, just saw 'Lawrence of Arabia' and 'Bridge over the River Kwai' recently.

Just watched 'Fletch' today for the first time. Hmmm, Chevy Chase used to be funny.

Benjamin Button. I didn't doubt that it would be good, I've just been really lazy with movies for a couple years now.

That's funny. I just saw that last week for the first time ever. Did you DVR it off the IFC channel? That's where I got it. It was OK, but I hated the ending.

I guess the last "you need to see this movie" I saw was Boondock Saints...and man did it suck! Dafoe hammed it up bigtime and while the brothers were cool, I hated the "funny guy" and the ending of the movie was stupid. Definately going to skip the sequel.

Platoon. Dunno how I missed seeing it for so long when it's got such an ensemble cast that includes Keith David, Willem Dafoe and Dr. Cox.

You mean that movie that ripped off Avatar's entire plot line? Pass.
