I got the following error on the wiki:

Code:
A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was:
(SQL query hidden)
from within function "SearchMySQL4::update". MySQL returned error "126: Incorrect key file for table './sydwiki/syd_searchindex.MYI'; try to repair it (fakeforum.sydlexia.com)".
Retrieved from "http://history.sydlexia.com/index.php?title=Syd_Lexia%27s_Video_Game_Collection"

Anyone (GPF) know what this means? Is it time to upgrade the wiki software?

I do not get that error. Can you tell me how you made that happen?

I think that page is corrupt. I am not seeing the same problem elsewhere. I would copy the content. Delete the page, then create the page again.

It's not happening anymore. Maybe it was being caused by some lag on the server's side?

Would it be worthwhile to upgrade the software anyway? It hasn't been done since it was first installed.

It might be worth it, but before you do, make sure you have backups of both the database and HTML files incase something goes wrong with the upgrade.

MediaWiki isn't known for making upgrades easy.

it might be worth noting that you can see a link to the PHPadmin page from there

I don't think it really matters, but duly noted.

For the same reason that we walk down well lit streets instead of dark alleys. It is safer and smarter to avoid taking unnecessary chances.
