Playing as Mega Man and Simon is pretty fun. I like how every character has their own set of music for the surface and underground levels, nice touch.

This is awesome. Using Bill from Contra and getting a fireball flower gives you the spread gun. So much fun destroying these levels with it.

Look, I just want a 2D platformer that isn't either stupid easy or designed for TAS-tards. This falls into the first category.
Mega Man 9 and 10 have helped fill the 2D platformer void, and this game also looks very promising:
It's called Shantae: Risky's Revenge. It is an upcoming DSiWare title. DarkMaze's wife voices the title character.

I enjoyed the game for what it was: a fun little flash game to play for five or ten minutes while my ipod syncs.
