I really enjoyed this. Being a huge fan of the band and someone who enjoys all of the non-shitty albums, I couldn't agree with you more. You forgot to mention Meddle and how much it kicks ass though. I think the members were different back then, though.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.

As far as Meddle goes, it has the same line-up as Dark Side of the Moon and most of the classic albums. Aside from Roger quitting and Rick's firing and rehiring, the band's line-up only changed once. That change took place in 1968 when fthe band's lead guitarist and primary lyricist Syd Barrett was replaced with guitarist David Gilmour due to Barrett's self-destructive struggle with LSD and other drugs. But yeah, Meddle kicks ass. Props to the band for including "Echoes" on their greatest hits album, but boo to them for editing it down.

Sometimes I feel like Meddle is a little too long and I'm just waiting for Echoes. But I enjoy it overall and I think it's definitely one of the classics.

Syd Barret was so fucking high on LSD that at concerts they'd just unplug his guitar and let him freak out because he wasn't even playing music anymore.

Wow, isn't there something in the rules about that? Syd, get me a screenshot of Jorgan von Strangle holding a copy of Da Rules, please. I need it for times like these.

Oh, sorry about that. It wasn't very far down the topic list, so I assumed the last post was fairly recent. 'Twas an honest mistake.
