I was trolling Metal Sludge and somebody posted this pic as an insult, and it sent me into nostalgic bliss. I remember seeing the commercial for this game, and it looked fun, but I never got the chance to play it. Crying

Has anyone played it? If so, is it any good?

I remember the commercial as well, and just like you, I never got a chance to play either. Sigh

It seems like it would be an awesome game, and it is the first time you play it, but ultimately it's a tedious pain in the ass to set up for each game. To set it up, you have to insert and guide each of the 30 or so sticks through the holes, and once you get about half inserted, it becomes that much harder to put the others into holes that aren't already taken.

Basically, it takes like 10 minutes to set up, and about 2 minutes to play and is ultimately pretty unsatisfying in the end. I ended up just playing with the really cool, old school marbles (you know, the clear ones with orange and green fins inside) by themselves which was much more fun.

It was fun. Just really short.

Kind of a pity, really.

Wow, the commercial for that game take me back

never played it either. Truth be told though with the right tools and a little imagination, it could be possible to build one yourself.

Ah I remember that. Never had one myself, but played it at a friend's house. Good times while it lasted, but frankly I think a game like Jenga is more fun.

If I ever get rich I'm gonna pay a bunch of people to play giant jenga with concrete bricks and loader mechs from Alien II, kind of like life chess, but you know, with loader mechs.

It reminds me too much of "Thin Ice" and that game sucked hairy monkey...OK I use that one too much, the game sucked as much as the guy beside me at work having the Alien Ant Farm version of Smooth Criminal guitar riff as his ring tone.
