Also, six and a half topics a day seems weirdly high, huh.

♦I like how we had a "dead celebrities of 2010" topic not ten minutes into the year.

This is the only forum I post at as well...I wish it was a tad more popular at times...but I hate the forums where there's so much traffic that a topic will drop to the bottom of a page in 10 minutes.

I agree on all points Dodd. A little bit more busier and I would be 110% happy with this forum.

Ditto that. I was on a couple of pro wrestling sites like that a few years ago, and it just sucked. Anyway, its not like days go by without new topics or posts or anything. I much prefer a tight knit community where things might be less active, but everyone knows everyone. Kind of like...well...
Corny but true; that's exactly how the forum feels to me. Congrats on a great few years, Syd, and here's to many more.

These are the only forums I post on recreationally as well, (besides the Cracked forums that we need to use to develop our articles and communicate with the editors) and it definitely feels like a nice, tight knit community of friends, which is cool.
126 posts per day seems high though as the Captain said.

Too many users / posts can ruin a forum, as can a lack of new blood. I think the balance here is pretty good.

I like what we've got here, pretty well. Too many more people would spoil things.

I think the more the merrier. You gotta figure if 20 people join in January that 30% will post a few times and never show up again, 20% are trolls, 30% will become regulars who contribute to discussion and become well respected members of the community and the other 20% will be M3GA's alternate accounts.

126 posts per day isn't all that much. That's 5 new posts in 25 threads. Not at all unlikely. And don't forget, "this shit pisses me off" gets a lot of love daily.

that wouldnt surprise me.

Cool, this is the only forum I post in...only read one other. You should show year to year growth as well.
This forums is like that DiCaprio movie The Beach....don't bring lots of people, don't bother the drug dealers (Illegal Drug Forum), and no one will get shot. And for god sakes DON'T LEAVE A MAP WITH FUCKING RETARD STONERS!!!

Don't forget the word association game, or state something completely random thread. That's 100000 posts right there

Ditto, this is the only forum I read and post in. I love Sydlexia.com's articles and the forums. The forums tide me over until a new article comes out.

I originally came here for the articles, obviously, but I think if I were to choose one or the other, I'd take the community over them.
