The only dice I have ever owned are the ones that come with board games. I have never bought separate ones.
I will admit though that I saw some loaded dice once and they were pretty cool. At $15 per, I didn't like them that much though.

WTF, whos brilliant idea was a D5?
I agree D4s suck to role. I role a D8 and divide by 2.
I have a D6 the size of a gold ball that I bought as a kid, and a pack of slightly smaller ones a friend bought for me when she learned I play D&D.
I would kinda like to get one of them crystal dice and turn it into a necklace.
