anyway of makign it more noticeable? liek an annoying popup box or something?

I had a dozen PMs and never even thought to check. that little you have 3 new messages thing is kinda obscure.

You are supposed to get a pop-up notification. You may have a pop-up blocker that prevents it.

i'm using firefox. that's probably why, but other forums I go to have teh pop up notifcation workign with my firefox.

Easy fix: go into Tools - Options - Content. If the pop-up blocker is on, click on Allowed Sites and add SydLexia.com.

yeah I knew that. I jsut had no idea that it was even happening, and jsut assumed that there was no pop up notification because it still worked for other sites.

There's an option if you click the edit profile thing at the top of the page. When you first signed up you probably clicked on one of the radio buttons by accident and shut it off. It's definately not firefox cause mine popup and your other forums do as well you said, so if it isn't turned off in your profile options then, umm....sorry?

Yeah, I actually had someone send me a PM on December 19, and I didn't even notice it until about 3 or 4 days ago. Embarrassed
