At least now I know what to get a Wookiee for Christmas when he's already got a comb.

This is actually a yearly thing. Three years ago Hasbro put out an R2-D2/C3PO set where the two of them had santa hats on. The following year we got that yoda. Last year, there was a holiday-themed Jawa pack.

This year there wasn't a new figure, but Yoda got reissued and there were some Star Wars snow globes and statues. I have that Yoda in a snowglobe and a statue of Darth Vader, on his knees in the snow, with a Santa hat on, and he's BUILDING A SNOW DEATH STAR.

I am such a sucker for this crap.

It's so ridiculous and unnecessary that I just may end up getting it.

Let's not forget 2005's Holiday Vader, otherwise known as "Vader we just painted completely red."

Now that's just laziness.

Though I'm sure plenty of fanboys bought it.

Yeah, everybody bought that Vader thinking it would be a big collector's item and then bitched about crappy it was afterwards. The rumored next holiday figure (though it technically won't be holiday themed) is Boba Fett in the color scheme he had in the much maligned holiday special. Personally, I think a glassy-eyed Leia repaint lightly dusted with white powder around her nose would be more appropriate. Have you seen Carrie Fischer in that thing? She's on another planet and it ain't Alderaan.

All she talks about in the SNL book that I just finished re-reading were drugs and how everyone was high for the first few years. I guess she was a frequent host or something.
