Shame I'm immune to "forget the date"

But good joke anyway.

Ahahahahaha! Oh god, the only thing that makes it funny is that I know its a joke. I may have caught the joke based on the fact it's April Fools, but the smart money would be on my shitting a brick and firing off a bunch of nasty letters to Nintendo. Damn that was good. How long did he keep everyone going for lol? Please don't tell me intil 11:59 EST on April 10th...

On another note, isn't it kind of sad that we all assume Nintendo is asshole-y enough to actually pull a stunt like that? Confused

He posted asking for legal help about it a while before also, if I remember correctly.

Anyways, I think April Fool's Day on the internet is mostly suck, in real life it's awesome though! I love being a douche and getting a free pass because of the date!

Too bad it was in the news section where not a lot of people saw it.

Not a lot of people read the News section? But I thought we loved our Fun With Search Engines!

So yeah, obviously it's a joke. I'll take the redirects down to at some point today and put the banners back up.

I had a couple other ideas for AFD jokes, but I didn't really work on them enough, and then AFD kinda snuck up on me. In fact, this AFD joke wasn't even implemented in its original form. The original plan was to say the site was sold to ExtremeSnakeInsertions.com and redirect to that site for the day. Unfortunately, I came up with this plan late on March 30 and it usually takes upwards of 24 hours for site registration to clear and then up to ANOTHER 24 hours for the site to be ready for hosting, so I couldn't be sure that ESI would be ready in time. So I used CompleteSycophants instead, a site I registered like two years ago.

Here's what the original joke would have looked like: http://extremesnakeinsertions.sydlexia.com/index.htm

In retrospect, this joke probably would have not turned out well. I'm sure those of you who check the site at work probably wouldn't have wanted ExtremeSnakeInsertions.com in your browser history. So I guess things worked out for the best.

I do like those, but honestly, I think I've read the news section about... maybe 10 times max since my residency here. Hell, the only reason I know there are new articles is because of the posts in the forum about them. My shortcut here goes right to new posts.

Not to say that I don't like the articles, because I love them. I just tend to be behind everyone else on most of the site's content. v_v

I am rather glad you didn't use extremesnakeinsertions for the reason mentioned. I don't know why, but I literally laughed out loud at the "stickers and temporary tattoos" part though. I'm sure that page will lead to some amusing entries in future FWSEs. I just hope that Snakey GIF on a fake porn site doesn't inspire people to create Lolo hentei. It probably already exists, but I would just as soon not know about it if it does.
