1. Magnavox CDI- I remember seeing commericals for this thing late at night and I wanted one so bad. I didnt realize that FMV was a point and click type thing at the time so the graphics looked so badass.

2.Neo Geo- I always had this dream of going into someone's room upstairs and them having one. I still havent gotten to play one. Hopefully I can find a Neo Geo CD somewhere

3.Turbografx 16- I think I saw this in a store one time but I just thought the name was so cool. I never could find a place that had any of the games or the system ever when I started looking for it.

The Dreamcast. I had a Playstation at the time and those graphics looked amazing.

I still want it, and my birthday is 25th January, so... *cough*

Believe it or not, I've never owned an NES.

I've owned an Atari, a Sega Master System, an SNES, a Genesis, a PS1 and 2, an N64, a Dreamcast, a GC, a Wii, an XBox and a 360, but I've never owned the one system that revolutionized gaming.

Does that make me a bad person?

a PS2.

I made a terrible mistake by choosing an Xbox.

It had the best port of Need For Speed, though.

I actually kinda liked the 3DO, but I wouldn't get it anytime soon.

I wanted an SMS really bad, but I got a SNES and Genesis instead (divorced parents = double video games), so I can't complain.

1. Neo Geo. It looked so cool and had some great games on it.

2. Turbo Grafix 16. I've always wanted one.

3. Sega Masters System. I wanted this one before I ever wanted a Nintendo.

Being one of the only people who had an N64 instead of a PlayStation, I wanted one of those. Looking back, I'm glad that I got the N64. The library was more diverse, and much better suited to a kid still in grade school than a PlayStation. Besides, I have a PS2 to play the things that I regretted missing in the PS1/N64 era.

An SNES, was born in '91 and my parents had the NES so I grew up on it, my uncles had the SNES and whenever I went to see either of them I'd either watch the one(he wouldn't let me play) or play at the other uncles but I never had one...until I got my first job, first paycheque I bought one for 30$ Smile.

Back in the day, I used to flip through the Sears Wishbook and look through the video game section. I was amazed at the game consoles. Natually I wanted them all. Here's a list:
Sega Master System- Thought it seemed NES-like and it seemed cool at the time. I have one now. Definitely worth the money I paid for it.

TurboGrafix16 and the Handheld turbografx thing
Game Gear, Game Boy, Genesis, and Okay, the Phillips CD-i looked kind of cool too. Especially with the shooter game, what was it called, Quick Draw McGraw or something? Anyways, that completes my list.

NES: Yeah, that's right. I may have played a lot of NES games as a kid, but I never got the system itself. Maybe I'll look for one on eBay. Why did I never get one? I guess I'll never know. . . .

Sega CD and 32X: I remember getting Sega magazines as a little kid and I remember reading about the Sega CD and 32X. I think I wanted to get Sonic CD and Knuckles' Chaotix, but never got them, since I never got their respective consoles.

Nintendo Virtual Boy: I know the only colors the games are in are black and red. I know that most of the games aren't really in Virtual Reality. But you know what? I wanted it anyway.

Sega Nomad: Why wouldn't any of us want it? It allowed us to play Sega Genesis games on the road.

I would also mention the Sega Saturn, but I bought one from a used game shop this summer.

My dad was an avid video gamer from the get go. While we never had a Vectrex or anything like that, when I was about 2 or 3, he got an Atari 2600. The only post-2600 consoles that we didn't have were the Lynx, CD-I, and the Neo Geo.

I wanted the CD-I, mostly for those shitty Zelda games. Neo Geo didn't really appeal to me that much. We had the games at the local arcade anyway, and while Samurai Showdown was pretty good, it was no Street Fighter II.

Not really, as I never got one either.

Oh well, there's always eBay, right?

The next-generation NES that you could stick the game in the top. I had to retire from playing NES games far earlier than I wanted to because a working NES was damn near impossible to find.

I always wondered how many ignorant grandmas bought those for their grandchildren when the kids asked for a Super Nintendo. I know it happened at least once, a friend of mine befell that sad fate.

You know how stupid old people logic goes. "Oh, he said he wanted the Nintendos for christmas, didn't he? Well I'll buy this 90 dollar one instead of this 250 dollar one. He won't mind the difference! Besides, I need to spend more frugally so I can go to Pic'N'Save this sunday and buy some more dish detergent and napkins."

I've always wanted a Sega Nomad with the AC Adapter. Even though the thing is huge and the battery life sucks, it'd still be neat to play Sega Genesis games on the go.

Agreed, the technology of being able to play Sega Genesis portabally in 1995 absolutely blew my mind.

Neo Geo, and then I saw how damn expensive it was back in the day. Geez, I know it's more powerful then the SNES and Genesis combined, but still....more expensive then PS3 at launch...
