Thoughts: This book was published in Racine, Wisconsin. That's not a good sign. Most books worth reading are published in big coastal cities like New York, Boston, and Los Angeles. You know why? Because smart publishers know enough to put their headquarters in a large urban area where they already have a large potential consumer base. Also, it's easier to ship large quantities of product out of a big city where there is easy access to trains, airports, and docks. If you base yourself in Wisconsin, you're gonna be stuck publishing books with titles like The Animals' Christmas Eve. At least fucking base yourself in Chicago or Detroit. You know, somewhere that Al Roker mentions by name in his national weather forecast. Christ.
The inside title page depicts a lamb's head inside a wreath, so in case the outside cover didn't make it clear enough, you should have figured out by now that this book is about actual animals celebrating Christmas Eve. If you were expecting to hear the story of Christmas retold by the 1960s rock group, too fucking bad. It's a rather unfortunate situation too, because a book where Eric Burdon tells the rest of The Animals about the birth of Jesus would have been highly preferrable to this pile of shit.
